How to judge whether the wearing parts provided by suppliers are original and genuine?

Judging whether the wearing parts provided by suppliers are original or not is a key link to ensure the stable operation of paper-making equipment and avoid unplanned downtime and collateral damage. Combined with industry experience and procurement norms, it is suggested to conduct comprehensive identification from the following four core dimensions:

1. Inspection of appearance and process details

Original accessories usually have strict quality control on materials and processing technology, which can be preliminarily judged by naked eye observation and hand feeling:

Packaging standardization: Authentic packaging is usually standardized, with exquisite materials and clear handwriting, and includes detailed product name, specifications, factory name and address and anti-counterfeiting labels. If the packaging is rough, the seal is uneven or there are signs of unpacking, you need to be highly vigilant.

Surface smoothness and machining marks: the surface of qualified parts is smooth, and anti-rust and anti-corrosion treatment are in place. Focus on the hidden parts such as corners. Inferior imitations often leave obvious burrs, processing lines or rough casting marks due to the use of low-precision molds or casting processes.

Weight and material: the imitation is often used to reduce the cost by cutting corners (such as replacing alloy steel with ordinary steel), which leads to the "weight" of accessories being lighter. In addition, if rubber or plastic parts crack and lose elasticity, they are mostly inferior materials.

2. Anti-counterfeiting identification and coding traceability

Modern formal equipment manufacturers usually establish a perfect traceability system, which is a hard indicator to distinguish authenticity:

Independent coding and serial number: all the key parts that are regularly delivered from the factory have independent part number, serial number or two-dimensional code traceability labels, and the font is clear and the position is standard. If multiple parts are found to have the same code or no product number, it is likely to be a copy.

Official verification channel: after getting the accessories, you can verify the serial number through the equipment manufacturer official website and the official code scanning tool, or directly contact the original factory technical support to verify the authenticity.

Completeness of supporting documents: factory inspection report, certificate of approval and detailed installation instructions are usually attached to important assemblies or components of the original factory, but counterfeit products often lack these documents.

3. Supplier qualification and compliance review

The reliability of the channel directly determines the authenticity of the accessories. When selecting suppliers, we should focus on:

Official authorization and purchase certificate: confirm whether the supplier has the original parts agency authorization or formal purchase certificate of the equipment manufacturer. Buying directly from the original factory or its global authorized representative office is the safest way.

Physical address and industry reputation: verify whether the physical business address of the supplier really exists and avoid cooperation with "shell companies" or "guerrillas". At the same time, it is required to provide recommendations or references from former customers to understand their true reputation in product quality and after-sales service.

Terms of transaction and payment: Regular suppliers usually accept safe payment methods (such as credit guarantee, bank transfer, etc.), while fraudsters often insist on high-risk remittance methods and refuse to provide inspection guarantee.

4. Assembly fit and performance test

If conditions permit, the accuracy and performance of the fittings can be verified by actual installation:

Assembly clearance and fit: genuine parts have high processing precision, can be easily put in place during assembly, and the surface is often engraved with assembly marks to ensure correct installation. Inferior parts are often difficult to cooperate well with other accessories because of large processing errors.

Operational stability: the imitation may be barely installed at the initial stage, but in high-speed or heavy-load operation, it is easy to cause action deformation, abnormal induction recognition or aggravate equipment wear due to small errors.

Risk warning:

For precision spare parts involving core patented technology or intelligent control system, the use of non-original spare parts may not only cause the equipment to trigger system alarm and lock up operation, but also directly lead to the invalidation of the original warranty. In key stations, we must adhere to the procurement principle of "being steady and firm", and don't bear high downtime losses and safety risks because of coveting low prices.
